The Pontec PondoSolar 250 Control is a versatile solar-powered fountain pump kit designed for use in ponds and decorative water features. Combining solar energy with battery backup, it offers flexible operation and reliable performance even after sunset.
The kit includes a 6V fountain pump delivering flow rates of up to 250 litres per hour, along with 5 metres of connecting cable, four interchangeable fountain heads, extension tubes and a 3-watt solar panel with mounting spike. Unlike many standard solar fountain kits, the PondoSolar 250 Control features an integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which stores excess solar energy generated during the day.
During daylight hours, the pump operates directly from the solar panel while surplus power charges the battery. After dusk, both the fountain and integrated LED lighting can be programmed to run automatically for 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours, provided the battery has been sufficiently charged. To maximise charging efficiency and prevent unnecessary operation, the system defaults to off and is activated using the included remote control.
The pump flow rate is also conveniently adjustable via the remote control, allowing precise control of fountain height and effect. The PondoSolar 250 Control is supplied with a 2-year guarantee for added peace of mind.
