The Pontec PondoSolar 600 Control is a powerful solar-powered fountain pump kit designed for use in ponds and decorative water features. Combining solar operation with battery backup, it offers reliable performance during the day and programmable operation after dusk.
The kit includes a 12V low-voltage fountain pump capable of delivering flow rates of up to 600 litres per hour, along with 5 metres of connecting cable, extension tubes, and interchangeable fountain heads for creating attractive water displays. Power is supplied by a separate solar panel with mounting spike, which also charges the integrated rechargeable battery.
Unlike many standard solar fountain kits, the PondoSolar 600 Control features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that stores excess solar energy. During daylight hours, the pump runs directly from the solar panel while surplus power charges the battery. After dusk, the fountain and integrated LED lighting can be programmed to run automatically for 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours, provided the battery has been sufficiently charged.
To maximise charging efficiency and avoid unnecessary operation, the system defaults to off and is activated using the supplied remote control. The remote control also allows easy adjustment of the pump flow rate, enabling precise control over fountain height and effect. The unit is supplied with a 2-year guarantee.
